Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing & Feedback
At Smart High Tech, we are committed to acting responsibly, ethically and transparently — towards our employees, customers, partners and shareholders. As part of that commitment, we provide two ways to reach us: a feedback channel for thoughts and suggestions, and a whistleblowing function for reporting serious misconduct.
Feedback
Do you have thoughts on how we work, our products or our services? We welcome criticism, suggestions, ideas and praise alike — honest input helps us improve.
Whistleblowing
Our whistleblowing function is a neutral, confidential and secure channel for raising suspicions of serious misconduct within Smart High Tech. It exists to ensure that wrongdoing can be reported safely — and acted upon — even when the person reporting does not feel comfortable going through ordinary channels.
The function is aligned with the EU Whistleblowing Directive and the Swedish Whistleblowing Act.
What can be reported
The whistleblowing function is intended for suspicions of serious misconduct or irregularities, particularly where members of management or other key personnel are involved. Examples include:
- Financial misconduct, such as bribery, corruption, theft, fraud or accounting irregularities
- Serious violations of environmental regulations or environmental damage
- Serious deficiencies in workplace health and safety
- Discrimination, harassment or other serious violations of individual rights
- Conflicts of interest or misuse of company assets or insider information
You do not need proof to file a report — reasonable, concrete suspicion is enough. However, reports must always be made in good faith. Knowingly submitting a false accusation, or reporting with malicious intent, is a serious matter and may constitute a criminal offence.
What should not be reported here
The whistleblowing function is not intended for general dissatisfaction or day-to-day workplace matters, such as questions about salary, leadership style or personnel issues. These should be raised with your immediate manager — or, if you prefer, through our feedback channel above.
Anonymity and protection
You can choose to report anonymously. All reports are handled with strict confidentiality, and the identity of a reporter who chooses to be open is protected throughout the process. No one who reports a genuine concern in good faith will face retaliation or negative consequences of any kind — this protection is guaranteed by law.
How reports are handled
Incoming reports are received and assessed by Smart High Tech’s whistleblowing committee. Reports that fall within the scope of the function are investigated promptly and impartially. Reports that fall outside the scope are deleted within three weeks.
Personal data
All personal data connected to feedback and whistleblowing reports is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Smart High Tech’s data protection policy. If a reporter chooses to disclose their identity, that information is shared only with the whistleblowing committee.
